Imo Police Warn Citizens Against “Neighbourhood Criminals”

 

Residents of Imo State have been warned by the state police command against what it described as “neighbourhood criminals” now on the prowl.
Giving the warning in Owerri, while speaking on the activities of his command, the state capital, Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Musa Katsina, said: “It is important to warn residents of Imo State to be very mindful of people around them, especially during these ember months and the new year.”
Also parading some suspected robbers, kidnappers and car snatchers, as well as items recovered from the hoodlums, Katsina also urged the people to be mindful of the persons around them.

He said the success recorded by the command was made possible through the instrumentality of the operation code named “Operation Puff Adder.”
“Puff adder was instituted by the state police command to check the menace of the rampaging hoodlums, especially during the forthcoming Christmas and new year celebrations,” Katsina said.
Some of the items recovered from the hoodlums includes AK 47 rifles, pump action rifles, substance suspected to be Indian hemp and N1 million cash.
